I rate Youtube TV an 8.9/10. YouTube TV is 2021's Best Live TV Streaming Service and Best Sports Streaming Service. With over 85 channels available, this service has a great range of live networks.

YouTube TV subscription for sports and local coverage is one of the best among live streaming platforms. In most markets, the subscription provides access to Fox, ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, and a slew of sports networks.

YouTube TV has the advantage of being able to hook up with your existing YouTube account, allowing you to check in with your Gmail account across numerous devices. A $65 subscription might be worrisome for some, but a no-contract policy makes it easy to switch to any channel, anytime.

You may record as much content as you want with an unlimited cloud DVR. YouTube TV, on the other hand, does not have any ad-free options. However, you can stream in up to 1080p.

One of YouTube TV's drawbacks is its on-demand content, which consists of whatever shows local YouTube networks choose to make available.

YouTube TV is the company's live television streaming service. Alphabet, Google's parent company, owns it. However, a $19.99 per month premium includes Dolby Digital compatibility, 4K, offline downloads, and unlimited concurrent streams.
However, as I've noted, the price hikes for YouTube TV and Hulu Live TV are a long way from where cable costs are now.
You won't be able to skip advertising with YouTube TV because it's live programming, and there isn't an option for a premium ad-free subscription. It also offers a 7 days Youtube TV free trial.

Features

User Interface:

The UI of YouTube TV is pretty similar to that of the ordinary YouTube website, as you might imagine.
The design is simple, with white or light grey covering the majority of the parts. You may even enable a dark mode in the settings.
You can discover a robust search option for searching material in the top right corner, which is helpful to the enormous YouTube TV channel catalog.
You can also combine searches.

Extensive content :

YouTube TV has a better channel selection than any other competition, with more of my top 100 channels than any other competitor.
The $20 4K Plus upgrade comes with a variety of perks, including 4K sports like the Olympics and MLB, as well as on-demand video.
It also increases the number of concurrent streams to an unlimited number.
With a channel lineup that includes Fox, ABC, CBS, NBC, and PBS, YouTube TV offers some of the greatest coverage of local channels among live TV streaming providers.

The 4K Plus add-on comes with 4K on-demand entertainment from FX, Discovery Networks, and Tastemade to YouTube TV.

DVR Storage:

The DVR facilities on YouTube TV are superior to those in the competition. There is no storage restriction on DVRs.
With the need for as much Internet access, you may add as many episodes and movies to your library as you like.
In addition, recordings are kept for nine months.
You can have downloaded recordings for offline viewing with the 4K Plus add-on.

Youtube TV on the app:

The Youtube TV app resembles the desktop interface in appearance and functionality, which is an excellent thing.
Clean lines, appealing colors, and clear tabs for content separation distinguish the interface.
On mobile, a dark mode is now available as well. There are also all of YouTube TV's unique search and library organization options available.

What does it lack?

VPN Compatibility issue with free VPNs:

In the case of a YouTube TV account, the service is only available in the United States, and the channels you receive are determined by your region.
For comparison, I tried YouTube TV with Private Internet Access(PIA) VPN's paid version and had no connection troubles. However, there was a problem with most of the top 10 VPNs free versions. So you need premium VPNs to access Youtube TV outside the USA.
A working VPN might not work with all services or subscriptions.

Weak parental controls:

You can use YouTube TV to enable a filter that only shows TV-Y, TV-Y7, and TV-G programs and G and PG films, but you must do it on each device rather than at the profile level.

Conclusion

YouTube TV is one of my favorite live streaming services, offering a diverse range of entertainment options as well as one of the best DVR and search features available. It has the most channels of any device, and the 5.1 surround sound is ideal for both sports and movie fans. It's a terrific solution if you don't want to be tied to a typical cable company.
